Jared Leibowitz, aged 21 was born in New York and moved to Sydney when he was 10 years old. From a young age, he found himself using his dad’s camera and eventually claimed it as his own. 2013 was the year Jared decided to follow his dream and passion through a career in photography.
Despite being involved in the music photography scene for only 3 years, his perspective has taken him around the world with multiple artists; covering a vast array of festivals.
Back home in Australia, Jared has documented artists like Kendrick Lamar, Sticky Fingers, and Break Even, just to name a few.
In this exhibition, you’ll step into his archives from the past 3 years, witnessing some of his most favorite moments; both on and off the stage.
A combination of negative space, silhouettes, and alternative perspectives are used to capture the raw dynamics of the show; all with a key focus on the powerful moments that portray the emotion of the artist. His work is unique in its juxtaposition of high-energy and low-key scenarios. His eye for composition and post production treatment of the images act as the unique vessel for his creativity and sensitivity that complements the artist and the atmosphere.
